- Is it by appointment?
Yes — only by appointment. Please call or email us to schedule.
- What are our business hours?
It varies because we may be on a location photoshoot and not in the studio. Usually 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Mon–Fri, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Sat, closed Sun. You MUST have an appointment.
- Do you take infant passport photos?
Yes — an appointment is necessary.
- Do you process the passport application as well?
No. Only the government does that. We provide the photos, sized and printed to spec for your passport application.
United States Passport Photo Specs
All photos are taken according to U.S. Government guidelines and must pass all seven checks described in the government book. To obtain a U.S. Passport you need two U.S. Passport Photos, 2 × 2 inch size. If they don't satisfy the government specs, they'll be rejected and sent back.
After 9/11, all official passport and I.D. photos are subject to strict rules. Always check your spec sheet again before submitting — it saves you time and money.
U.S. Passport Photo Checklist
- Right size of the photo — 2 × 2 inches.
- Right size of your head — 1 to 1 3/8 inch from top of hair to chin.
- Background OK — plain white (not blue, not gray).
- No shadow — shadows are a major reason U.S. immigration rejects photos.
- Exposure — not too light, not too dark.
- Eyes clearly visible — eye level between 1 1/8 and 1 3/4 inch from bottom of photo.
- Don't smile — neutral expression. U.S. Government: "Encourage subject to have a natural expression."
