Every family portrait needs a location that does half the work. The Carousel in Boca Raton is one of ours — a genuinely festive backdrop, warm evening light, and enough movement to keep the toddlers from staging a rebellion.
Why the Carousel works
Painted horses give kids something to hold on to, string lights give us a golden bokeh nobody has to fake, and the circular architecture means we can rotate the family through several looks without moving a single light.
Timing and wardrobe
We shoot 30 minutes before sunset when the string lights start reading warm against the sky. Coordinated tones (not matching outfits) photograph better — earth tones and jewel tones both work beautifully with the carousel's paintwork.
