Unforgettable Family Portraits You'll Cherish

Because children grow so fast, do it Today!

Lloyd’s Studio Photography specializes in Family Portraits. We have been taking family portraits for over 20 years. I am a second generation professional photographer and my studio Lloyd’s Studio Photography is located in the heart of downtown Boca Raton at The Boca Grand Building.

My family portraits are displayed in many homes across the country and abroad. I combine classic fine art portraiture with modern lifestyle photography to create timeless images. Influenced and trained by the best artists in the world, I am skilled to create beautiful and honest photographs of your life's happiest memories. I like to capture your family as you are. Whether at our studio, your location or at the beach.

"Professional, prompt, organized, efficient, creative and friendly is what you get from Lloyd’s Photography of Boca Raton, Florida. We used Lloyd’s Photography for a family shoot when we were visiting from out of town. The brother-sister team made my family feel comfortable and very special from the moment we met, while paying close attention to all the details. Elizabeth and Michael couldn't have been nicer to work with! Michael captured the essence of our family. We wanted to get our grandchildren in the pictures, along with pictures of them with their parents. There were 10 of us and we were all impressed at how quickly they learned our names. Elizabeth and Michael knew how to wrangle all 3 young children to get all the group shots we needed in a quick timespan. They were able to get fabulous pictures of everyone capturing our family dynamic. In addition, Elizabeth was sweet and extremely accommodating to my elderly father-in-law, making sure he was comfortable at all times. Michael took absolutely phenomenal photographs that we will absolutely cherish for many years to come. Their work is really exceptional, and the results were more than we had hoped for. Our family highly recommends Lloyd’s Studio Photography"

FAMILY PORTRAITS - A FAMILY LEGACY

Growing up in a family whose business is photography, we were used to taking pictures all the time and of everything. Yet a family portrait of the six of us can be counted down to about three. My favorite family portrait was taken in Rome when we were on vacation and we were very young. It is our biggest treasure. For this reason, we know the importance of family portraits.

FROM A BEAUTIFUL IMAGE TO WALL ART

Time goes by very fast, kids grow up and change. Imagine you have the amazing images of all of you together, looking your best and feeling great together as a large portrait on your wall. This moment cannot be repeated again, but it can be relived every time you glance at the stunning wall art in your home.

This is when our images become more than just beautiful family photos. They become art that delivers joy, pride, and emotional fulfillment. Those are the feelings you want to be surrounded by everyday. And everyone who enters your home will see and feel what your family is all about. This is how our portraits become the heart of your family and a big part of your family legacy.

FAMILY PORTRAITS ON LOCATION

South Florida is the ideal place to have a family location portrait done any time of the year. One of the most sought after locations is the beach. Lloyd’s Studio Photography is located about 10 minutes from the beach. Deerfield Beach has a beautiful pier and huge rocks along the beach.

The ideal time for family portraits on location, like the beach, is just before the sun sets, in the summer it can be as late as 7:00 pm and in the winter as early as 5:00 pm. So it’s always important to be aware of the best time to be able to capture the “Golden Light", which creates a beautiful effect on the portraits.

FAMILY PORTRAITS - The Experience

What are your hopes and dreams for this session? What do you want to remember 20 years from now about your children and how do you want to remember it? In an album that can be handed down from generation to generation, in a wall portrait that will make you smile every single day?

THE PROCESS - What to expect from time of booking session to delivery of order

How does a family portrait session work?

Your portrait session will be as unique as your family. A beautiful portrait is an investment that requires planning. This is your time to capture and record the important things in your life. There are many things to think about. So let’s plan for this occasion. An on location consultation prior to the photography shoot is included in our location fee. Your experience throughout the process is as important as your final portraits. We will work together to make this a fun experience for you and your family. Please call the studio (561) 394-8399 to discuss the best time for you and our availability. Please remember to call two to three weeks in advance. You choose the location, which can be the beach, a park or your home. This session is ideally suited for creating a décor-style wall art portrait. My goal for you is to create beautiful works of art for your home... of your family!

Before the Session

What is a family portrait consultation?

A family portrait design consultation is the first step in creating timeless images. This is the time we get to know each other and find out what you have in mind for your session. Tell us about yourself, your family and your home. We want to know what you like in terms of style, colors, etc. Together we will plan your session so that everything runs as smooth as possible the day of the session. What is your vision? What is the look of your portrait? Do you want casual or formal? Where in your home do you plan to put your portraits? How big is the wall space? We discuss everything above and more. We show you the choices available in wall art, albums and gift portraits. See Our Wall Art Page Where can we have the family portraits taken? The location can be our studio, the beach, a park, or your home. What to wear? Clothes are a critical element, so its best to create a cohesive look. At the beach, you can wear beautiful white flowy dresses for the girls, crisp lapis blue shirts for the guys... for a very formal portrait, men wearing tuxedos with bow ties to match your gorgeous wine silk gown.... Or flowery prints for a casual fun portrait in your garden.... See All About Clothing What are your suggestions for preparing the kids for the shoot? We allot one hour per client, but we know that the little ones may need more time and that is okay because we do not book sessions one after the other. When photographing the family we start with the whole group and then do other groupings. If you have small children we need the right time for them to be at their best. Let’s work around that and make sure they have slept well, are fed and just tell them they are going to have fun, don’t tell them that they need to smile, we just want natural expressions. And don’t worry if they get a bump or bruise that day.... it always seems to happen, that’s what retouching is for. We have done all the planning before hand, now you just need to relax. See Tips for a Great Shoot

What is the Booking Process?

Following the consultation, we select a date, we fill out a client questionnaire/agreement and you pay for the Collection of your choice.  It covers my time at the session and editing of images for your portrait gallery. Time and quantity of images depends on the Collection. The retainer to hold your date is $500 order.

Investment - What is your fee?

We offer several different Collections that include images and albums. Please call the studio at 561 394 8399 to get current pricing.

When do I have to pay for the family portraits?

As the nature of this work is custom, we require full payment before the order is started. Payment plans are available, but payment will be made in full before you receive your order.

The Session - What can I expect the day of the shoot?

Your family session will last about one hour to two, when we have extended families. We start with a few "relaxed posed" shots with the group and individuals. Its important to always start with the little ones because they don't last long. Next, the fun begins…We capture spontaneous expressions and natural interactions. We love to do groupings, grandparents and the grandchildren, three generations ..... any grouping you want ......

After the Session - The Design Consultation & Ordering Appointment

When do I see the family portrait images?

One to two weeks after your session your selection of 20-30 images will be ready for you. Come to the studio to view on the screen your selection. You will see a mock wall display for your home prepared just for you. Here you will also see collages, albums and all the different size portrait options. We help you put together your perfect collection. You will want to have your spouse and any others involved in the decision process to attend this special event as you finalize your order. Make a date of it! If you or your relatives are from out of town, we can create a gallery with your images on our website. We will email you a link to your own private gallery. Share your images with family and friends who can also place their own orders. Your gallery will be available for 15 days. Orders must be placed within this time. There is a $75 fee to re-post your gallery for 7 more days. Payment plans are available, but payment will be made in full before you receive your order.

Can I bring my children to the family portraits ordering appointment?

This is the time for you to relax and enjoy the images we have created for you. You might want to arrange for childcare for children under 12, or we can schedule your appointment when the children are in school.

Your Order - When will my family portraits be ready?

All of our images are retouched by Michael and sent to be printed in a state of the art professional lab. Regular orders take 2 to 3 weeks and specialty products take about 4 to 6 weeks. (That includes Canvas Portraits and framing.) Whether you have decided on stunning fine art canvases, a gallery of wall portraits to grace your living room, or another sampling of beautiful portraits, you will be filled with joy every time you see them.

Offerings - What products do you offer?

Canvas Oil Portraits: The finest quality. The portrait is peeled and superbly mounted on canvas and finished with an oil based texture highlighted by subtle brushstrokes to create the feeling of oil on canvas. This is a true showpiece for any home.

Canvas Wraps: This is the new version of the canvas - the giclee print. Here the image is printed onto canvas and stretched onto 2 inch framing board to create an image that wraps around the board. This does not need a frame.

Classic Portraits: Portraits of lasting beauty in matte finish. Portraits 11x14 and larger are mounted on heavy board.

What sizes do family portraits come in?

Portraits come in the standard sizes up to 40x60. We are able to create any specified size you desire.

Do you have family portraits specials?

Yes we do. Throughout the year we have specials for the many occasions that we celebrate. Please check the Specials page on our website. We also have Special Offerings, these are packages that include the session and selected collections that have special discounts.
